Pacific Serenades

The Dr. Jeff Kryka and Dr. Eros Zhao Foundation is proud to support Pacific Serenades as the cornerstone of our outreach and public engagement efforts in music.

As a graduate student at UCLA, Dr. Jeff Kryka had the privilege of working closely with Pacific Serenades’ founder, Prof. Mark Carlson, including composing a commissioned work for the organization in 2009. This personal connection, combined with our foundation’s deep commitment to fostering new music, aligns seamlessly with Pacific Serenades’ four-decade mission to present contemporary compositions as a vital and enduring part of our musical tradition.

Through our partnership, we continue to champion innovative works, provide a platform for composers and musicians, and ensure that new music remains a thriving and integral part of our living musical landcape.
